This role will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all aspects of the bank’s credit function, including credit risk management and loan portfolio quality.
- Manage and lead the Bank's credit team.
- Developing and maintaining credit policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards.
- Leading efforts to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks across various loan types, including commercial, agricultural, consumer, and mortgage loans.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance in all credit-related activities and working with regulatory agencies.
- Guiding and mentoring the credit team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Expectations will include:
- Lead and manage the Bank's credit team.
- Leading the development of credit strategies that ensure the bank maintains a strong, diversified loan portfolio.
- Collaborating with senior management to align credit solutions with the needs of rural businesses and agricultural producers.
- Proactively identifying emerging risks and implementing solutions to mitigate potential threats.
- Conducting regular reviews of the loan portfolio to ensure quality and adherence to established policies.
- Supporting customer success by providing tailored credit solutions.
A qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, agriculture, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in credit management, particularly in commercial and agricultural lending.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management, regulatory compliance, and loan portfolio management.
- A deep understanding of rural communities and the financial needs of agricultural producers.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a credit team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
