This role will be responsible for:
- Conducting psychiatric evaluations and formulating individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, monitoring their efficacy, and adjusting as needed.
- Applying evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to support mental health and wellbeing.
- Leading and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive treatment plans.
- Delivering care directly in community-based settings, working closely with individuals where they reside.
Expectations will include:
- Offering clinical guidance and leadership to an interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintaining accurate medical records through digital health platforms.
- Continuously staying informed of best practices and advancements in psychiatric care.
- Contributing to the organization's broader goals of patient empowerment and reducing mental illness stigma.
A qualified candidate will possess the following:
- M.D. or D.O. with specialization in Psychiatry, and a valid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience treating individuals with SMI or completion of a Public Psychiatry Fellowship.
- Expertise in prescribing and managing complex medication regimens.
- Proficiency in CBT and other psychotherapeutic techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Comfort with using electronic health records and digital health tools.
