Vice President of Sales
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead the sales team and drive revenue growth for a great, private equity-backed, packaging distribution client in the Pacific NW. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales management within the packaging industry. This role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve company targets and expand market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve sales targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to foster a high-performance culture, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with key clients, and negotiate contracts to ensure profitable partnerships.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with company objectives and market needs.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry influencers, trade associations, and partners to enhance the company's reputation and market position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in sales leadership roles within the packaging industry, demonstrating consistent achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of packaging products, market trends, and customer needs within various industries.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Compensation: Compensation will include a base salary and an aggressive bonus structure. The base salary target is in the $150k - $180k range with the opportunity to earn significantly more based on the success of your team.
